FESTIVAL REGULATIONS

 

1. Theme:                    Cancer Awareness - Life after Cancer

2. Objectives:              The contest aims at providing a platform for the short film  makers to exhibit their talent through films                                   and mainly to use thes  films in spreading awareness on cancer through creative and artistic                                                     expression.

3. Date & Venue:        8th February, 2015. Nani Palkhi auditorium at Mani High School,                                                                                                 Coimbatore

4. Regulations:           The Festival is meant for short films of maximum 5 minutes duration and will have the following                                             sections

                                                i)  Language - English (maximum 5 minutes and produced after June 2014)

                                                ii)  Language - Tamil (maximum 5 minutes and produced after  June 2014

 5. No. of Entries:        An applicant can send any number of entries

               

 6.  Jury:                       A common competition Jury will consists of a Chairman and two members.

               

 7.  Format :                  All entries should be sent in a DVD format (PAL system)

 

 8. Last Date for

Receiving Entry :         All entries should reach the Contest Office on or before 5 rd February 2015 as per shipping details                                                 which follows:

 

 9. Screening :            The Films will be screened at the contest venue on the 8th of February, 2015 at Mani High School                                                  premises.

 

10.  General :              Participation in the contest implies acceptance of these Regulations.

                                   The contest authorities will decide all matters not expressly  provided for in these regulations but in                                               conformity with the provisions of the International Regulations for short films and its decisions shall                                             be final and binding on all parties.

 

                         The submitted DVD's will be retained by the contest Authorities as archival material.  

 

 Shipping Instruction  : 

 

• All the freight charges shall be borne by the sender

•  The DVD screener shall be put in a Safe Pouch and sent by Post /Courier

 

• The package shall be superscribed with the following

•  "FOR SHORT FILM CONTEST SELECTION PURPOSES ONLY - NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE".

• The courier invoice should mention "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE"

• The Blue ray / DVD for selected films should be set on "pre-paid" mode i.e., at senders cost.
