Greetings from the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation!!

Since its inception in March 1991, CCF has been relentlessly engaging with the people of Coimbatore to raise awareness on various factors concerning cancer. There are rapid changes in the lifestyle of Indians and some of them need to be addressed to with a pressing emergency. The young and dynamic college-going youth of today are actively participating in community related activities and are making an impact in their surroundings. We at CCF want to tap into their pool of immense creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to raise awareness on cancer among the youth themselves and the general public at large.

We are organising an inter-college festival called the ‘HOPE FEST 2015’ on the 8th of February, the weekend following World Cancer Day on the 4th of February. The fest consists of three events ,they are a debate on a very relevant and hot topic, poster contests in English & Tamil and Short film contests in English and Tamil. All these contests are aimed to engage the youth to be introspective and to help raise issues in a public forum and spread awareness in the process.

Together we can reach out to a larger audience and send a message across to the general public on health and lifestyle concerns that may lead to cancer over the years. We want to bring to light the merits of early detection, comprehensive treatments and show that life after a diagnosis of cancer is not the end of all. Cancer is not a full stop, merely a comma that motivates us to look at life in a meaningful way.

Hope fest is a place for lofty thoughts. To put it simple, Hope fest is a talk show , a film fest  and  a wall for the dazibao.A mega stage for the youth’s  gusto is all set.
